Liberta' oggi - Freedom Today

E' da un po' di tempo che volevo scrivere sul mio blog qualcosa che abbia un valore un po' piu serio. Ma a volte e' davvero difficile raccogliere le idee a causa dei mille impegni quotidiani. Ed e' proprio questi che mi hanno dato lo spunto di scrivere qualcosa di nuovo e, spero, di non banale.

Mi passano per la testa mille pensieri che spero di poter mettere assieme con un filo logico. Impegni, responsabilita', lavoro ecc. sono solo alcuni esempi di quanto nella nostra vita siamo apparentemente limitati. Nel mio piccolo confine di un normale cittadino mi rendo conto come le mie scelte siano fortemente influenzate da fattori come questi.

La riflessione piu' profonda sarebbe quella di capire se la nostra scelta sia sempre quella giusta, se i nostri vincoli rappresentano un vantaggio oppure una limitazione al nostro potenziale. 

Nel nostro piccolo forse e' facile capire cosa sia giusto o sbagliato, ma proviamo ad estendere ed ampliare il discorso su larga scala: religione, stato e politica. Quanto questi fattori vincolano le scelte quotidiane di chi si trova nella posizione di dover prendere delle decisioni importanti che poterebbero influenzare una intera comunita'?

Dal mio punto di vista ad oggi non esiste piu' liberta'. E non intendo la liberta' di fare quel cavolo che ci pare, ma la liberta' di poter scegliere veramente la cosa giusta.

Nella gestione di una nazione non esistono di fatto piu' idee, non esiste piu' politica e non esiste piu' dibattito ma prevale su tutto cio' che conviene in termini economici in maniera asfissiante. Voi penserete che stia "scoprendo l'acqua calda", ma ritengo che la situazione sia cambiata in maniera radicale negli ultimi 30 anni. Oggi a governare sono solo le necessita' economiche di uno stato dettate da enti e altri fattori esterni.

Mi domando se esistono ad oggi ancora i margini per prendere delle decisioni giuste che possano rientrare nei confini di tutti i vincoli imposti dalla nostra societa'. 

La storia ci ha fornito esempi di eccellenza di magnifiche opere d'arte realizzate nell'oppressione dei vincoli della committenza (pensiamo a Michelangelo per esempio). Questo mi fa capire che se l'uomo lasciato completamente libero, in realta', sarebbe incapace di potersi realmente impegnare e dare fondo a tutte le proprie capacita' per raggiungere l'eccellenza, ma soprattutto la totale assenza di regole porterebbe l'uomo allo scontro e all'autodistruzione a causa del suo innato lassismo ed egoismo.

D'altro canto pero' l'eccessiva oppressione genera stress ed incapacita' di esprimersi e soprattutto dittature che deprimono lo spirtito creativo delle persone.

La domanda quindi e' dove sia quindi il giusto equilibrio.

Oggi mi accorgo che ci stiamo orientando verso una politica decisamente piu' oppressiva e le grandi lotte di ideali del passato stanno scomparendo. Il dibattito sull'idea di un mondo migliore sta anch'esso sparendo e sono sparuti piccoli gruppi di persone totalmente incompetenti che cercando di colmare questo enorme vuoto lasciato dalla politica di oggi.

Benche alcuni di questi attivisti si stanno muovendo bene come ad esempio coloro che si battono per il controllo sui cambiamenti climatici e la decarbonizzazione della nostra societa', rimane il fatto che la maggior parte della gente e' mossa principalmente da temi estremamenti populisti che rischiano di far derivare la nostra societa' verso gli estremismi e quindi con il rischio di sperimentare nuovamente i periodi bui delle dittature.

Anche i movimenti che sembrano motivati da sani principi, tuttavia hanno una faccia che non sempre sia chiara e non si puo' essere totalmente convinti che non siano mossi da lobby od interessi economici di fondo.

Anche il modo di fare informazione sta notevolmente cambiano e sta impendendo la gente di prendere decisioni liberamente. L'ossessivo e compulsivo utilizzo dei social media ci sta sconvolgendo la vita attraverso l'enorme contaminazione di notizie false che comunque sia influenzano il nostro modo di pensare in modo irreparabile. Oltre a questo l'ingegnerizzazione dei messaggi promozionali e la scelta di vedere determinate notizie piuttosto che altre gestita da codici basati su intelligenza artificiale contribuiscono sempre piu a confondere le nostre idee sempre in funzione di un unico obiettivo: la massimizzazione economica dei profitti.

La pandemia del covid sembri aver esacerbato ancora di piu tale situazione ed e' sotto gli occhi di tutti. A cominciare dagli stati occidentali, notoriamente liberali, che hanno adottato misure estremamente draconiane che hanno fortemente limitato la liberta' delle persone e fomentando le discriminazioni.

Dov'e' veramente la liberta' oggi? Ci sentiamo veramente liberi?

It has been a while since I wanted to write something on my blog that could have a little more serious value. But sometimes it is really difficult to collect ideas due to the thousands of daily commitments. And it is precisely these that gave me the opportunity to write something new and, I hope, not trivial.

A thousand thoughts go through my head that I hope to be able to put them together with a logical thread. Commitments, responsibilities, work, etc. these are just a few examples of how limited we are apparently in our life. In my small confines of a normal citizen I realize how my choices are strongly influenced by factors like these.

The deeper reflection would be to understand if our choice is always the right one, if our constraints represent an advantage or a limitation to our potential. In our own small life it may be easy to understand what is right or wrong, but let's try to extend and broaden the topic on a large scale: religion, state and politics.

How much do these factors constrain the daily choices of those who find themselves in the position of having to make important decisions that could influence an entire community? From my point of view to date there is no longer 'freedom'. And I don't mean the freedom to do whatever the hell we want, but the freedom to really choose the right thing. 

In the management of a nation there are in fact no more ideas, there is no longer politics and there is no longer any debate but what prevails over everything is what it is convenient in economic terms in an asphyxiating way.

You may think that I am "discovering the hot water", but I believe the situation has changed dramatically over the past 30 years. Today only the economic needs of a state dictated by entities and other external factors can govern a country. I wonder if the margins still exist today to make the right decisions that can fall within the boundaries of all the constraints imposed by our society. 

History has provided us with excellent examples of magnificent works of art created in the oppression of the constraints of the client (think of Michelangelo for example). This makes me understand that if the man, left completely free, in reality, he would be unable to really commit himself and give all his abilities to reach excellence, but above all the total absence of rules would lead man to the confrontation and self-destruction due to his inherent laxity and selfishness.

On the other hand, excessive oppression generates stress and inability to express oneself and above all dictatorships that depress people's creative spirit. 

The question therefore is where is the right balance.

Today I realize that we are moving towards a decidedly more oppressive politics and the great battles for ideals of the past are disappearing. The debate on the idea of ​​a better world is also disappearing and there are small groups of totally incompetent people trying to fill this huge gap left by today's politics. Although some of these activists are doing well, such as those who fight for control over climate change and the decarbonisation of our society, the fact remains that most of the people are mainly driven by extremely populist themes that risk to lead our society towards extremism and therefore with the risk of experiencing the dark periods of dictatorships again.

Even the movements that seem motivated by sound principles, however, have a face that is not always clear and one cannot be totally convinced that they are not motivated by lobbies or economic interests.

The way of reporting news is also changing considerably and is preventing people from making decisions freely. The obsessive and compulsive use of social media is upsetting our life through the enormous contamination of fake news that in any case influence our way of thinking in an irreparable way. In addition to this, the engineering of promotional messages and the choice to see certain news rather than others managed by codes based on artificial intelligence contribute more and more to confusing our ideas, always according to a single objective: the economic maximization of profits.

The covid pandemic seems to have exacerbated this situation even more and is there for all to see. Starting with the Western states, notoriously liberal, which have adopted extremely draconian measures that have severely limited people's freedom and fomented discrimination.

Where is freedom really today? Do we really feel free?
