Is the next pope going to be the last pope?
Nel 2005 quando Benedetto XVI venne eletto mandai una email ad alcuni dei miei amici parlando di questa profezia:

Apparently the cryptic phrase related to Benedict XVI was: "the glory of the olive". The olive is actually the logo of the benedectine order and it is notorious that Ratizinger has always been devoted to St. Benedict. Although this might seem just ridiculous, some coincidences still remain.
According to the book of Malachy there is only one more phrase ("motto") which states:
In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit [i.e., as bishop]. Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills [i.e. Rome] will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End
It does not sound very promising at all :)

Come potrete leggere il motto relativo al papa Benedetto XVI era: "gloria dell'ulivo". L'ulivo e' il simbolo dei benedettini e Ratzinger e' stato sempre un devoto di San Benedetto.
Potrete vedere anche dell'alchimia logica per accostare il nome del papa al motto di Malachia, tuttavia qualche coincidenza rimane.
Il libro della profezia di Malachia si ferma con il motto relativo ad un solo prossimo papa che che a quanto pare cosi recita
Durante l'ultima persecuzione della Santa Romana Chiesa siederà (un/il?) Pietro (il?) Romano, che pascerà il gregge fra molte tribolazioni; passate queste, la città dai sette colli sarà distrutta ed il tremendo Giudice giudicherà il suo popolo. Fine.
