I "Koatti" in Perth
che sembrerebbe non avere confini.
Koatto in romanesco significa Tamarro e comunque sia esprime la
tipologia di un determiato sogetto un po' esuberanate ed eccentrico
nei modi e nelle maniere di fare. In genere i Koatti a Roma si
distinguono subito dalle automobile, dotate dei piu' fantasiosi quanto
orripilanti accessori: cerchi in lega, alettone, i dadi di stoffa
appessi allo spcchietto e chi piu' ne ha piu' ne metta. Ebbene a Perth
i "koatti" vanno in giro con una macchina che sembra un furgoncino,
chiamata qui "UT", abbreviazione per "Utility", una macchina di
utilita' appunto... che viene modificata ad hoc per renderla veramente
Koatta come nella foto (peccato che avevo solo il cellulare al
momento). La citta' ne e' piena, la mia teoria e' che un Koatto
australiano deve per forza fare Surf, quindi la UT si addice benissimo
al trasporto delle tavole. I colori preferiti sono il verde
metallizzato ma anche il viola se la batte. In ogni caso a me fa
veramente ridere ogni volta che li vedo passare con sta macchina che a
me ricorda un Fiat Fiorino. Tra l'altro un koatto australiano che si
rispetti consuma 1000 dollari di gomme durante la notte facendo
sgommate nei quartieri residenziali molto silenziosi, piace in
particolare creare dei segni rotondi nel mezzo degli incroci o in
corrispoindenza delle rotonde.

The word "Koatto" comes from Rome. It is a slang word that describes a
kind of person that is eccentric, speaks in dialect and in general
likes to show off. In the USA this type of person is called "Guido"
(it is funny cause Guido is an Italian name: apparently Rome exported
koatti even in the USA, but now they are visible in Australia as
well). I havent found an Australian word to describe them yet, but I
will ask. A typical Roman Koatto is distinguished by his car that is
pimped with the most creative things: rear wing, 18 inches rims, dices
on the mirror and so on. Koatti in Perth are distinguished by the car
that I posted together with this message. It is called UT if I am not
wrong, and apparently it is the abbreviation of "utility". As you can
see the car looks like a mini-truck. My theory is that a perfect
Koatto in Perth is a surfer and UT is the perfect car to carry surf
boards.he most pospular color is green but purple is used a lot as
well. It makes me smile every time I see it because it reminds me a
very awful car: "FIAT Fiorino" (

An Australian Koatto likes to use UT especially during the night in
quite and residential suburbs leaving a value of 1000 dollars of their
tires on the asphalt. The most preferred figure is a circle in the
middle of the intersections or around a roundabout :)
